Květná 1794 Becomes Manufacturer of the Year
At the Květná glassworks, we have long been committed to doing things with honesty and care. Today, we all have a reason to celebrate. Our work has been recognized at Czech Grand Design 2025, where Květná 1794 received the Manufacturer of the Year award.

The jury was impressed by the Drop collection, designed by the glassworks’ creative directors Klára Janypková and Tomáš Kučera, and by the Haoto collection, created in collaboration with Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. The ability to transform a strong creative idea into real glass production is one of the qualities that characterizes Květná today.

Every piece produced in Květná is a unique work of craftsmanship. Before reaching its owner, it passes through the hands of several people – from glassblowers at the furnace to cutters, technicians and quality control specialists. Often it is the work of ten pairs of hands that together give the glass its final form.
That is why we value this award so highly. Above all, it is a recognition of the people who work at the glassworks every day and keep alive a craft that has more than two centuries of tradition in Květná.
