WHAT WE CAN DO & WHAT WE DO

We honor the more than two-hundred-year tradition of our glassworks. We know how to combine the old craft with the latest technologies and methods to offer you the premium quality of our products. Our vision is to maintain the traditional handmade production of Czech lead-free crystal at the highest possible quality. Our success is based on quality glass, flawless craftsmanship, and timeless design.

We offer both our own product designs as well as the option of production according to customer specifications. We always provide a comprehensive approach from the first sketch of the product, through mold making and prototyping, to final production, packaging, and shipping. Our offer includes the widest palette of colored glass in all of Europe—16 shades in total. All products from our glassworks can also be decorated using various techniques, such as pantograph, engraving, decoration with precious metals (gold, platinum), or hand painting. Different decorating techniques can be combined to achieve the optimal result.

We also invest long-term in innovation. In the second half of 2021, we improved the composition of the glass from which clear glass is melted. We now enrich it with titanium, a light metal that is completely non-toxic, but makes our products a bit more durable while maintaining the same lightness and flexibility as before.

PANTO

This technique uses the principle of etching glass that is not protected by wax. The product is first dipped in wax, allowed to cool, and then a pattern is engraved into the wax using a machine called a guilloche. The product is then immersed in acid, which etches the previously engraved pattern. The wax is then removed, leaving the desired etched decoration on the product.

DIARYT

This refers to machine engraving of decorations. The machine is equipped with a grinding wheel coated with a diamond layer for the most precise engraving, and under a stream of running water, it carves the desired decoration into the glass.

DECORATION WITH PRECIOUS METALS

We decorate using 24-karat gold and platinum. The application of both gold and platinum is always done by hand.

PAINTED DECORATION

We use traditional painting techniques, where painters hand-decorate products with various types of colors. This results mainly in floral and ornamental decorations, often complemented by decoration with precious metals.

DESIGN OF OUR PRODUCTS

The goal of the glassworks is to create unique crystal works of high quality and original design. That is why we collaborate with leading Czech and international glass artists and designers. Mutual respect for the craft and extraordinary experience creates a unique symbiosis between glassmasters and artists, from which new collections of timeless design are born, offering a clear message for future generations.

Among the notable artists who have collaborated with the glassworks are, for example, the French designer Jean-Marie Massaud, the Portuguese designer Marco Sousa Santos, and the Israeli designer living in Paris Arik Levy. From Czech glass artists and designers, we work with Rony Plesl, the Olgoj Chorchoj studio, Jiří Šuhájek, Lars Kemper & Peter Olah, the architectural studio Mimolimit, and Lukáš Jabůrek.
