Design from Květná scores big: Tomáš Kučera and Klára Janypková named EDIDA Designers of the Year
The artistic leadership of the Květná 1794 glassworks has received a significant international award. Tomáš Kučera and Klára Janypková were named Designers of the Year at the prestigious EDIDA – ELLE Decoration International Design Awards 2026.
The jury recognized their work for Květná 1794, particularly the Drop collection of cups and saucers, which connects contemporary design with traditional glassmaking craftsmanship.
The ceremonial announcement took place at the end of February with the participation of leading figures from the Czech design and architectural scene. The winners were selected by an expert jury composed of editors from ELLE and ELLE Decoration magazines, curators, stylists, and other professionals from the fields of design and visual culture.
The EDIDA awards are among the most prestigious global recognitions in design. The final nominations come from 25 international editions of ELLE Decoration across 47 countries.
