KVĚTNÁ 1794 Glassworks Reopens to the Public for Its Traditional Open House Day

KVĚTNÁ 1794 Glassworks is once again opening its doors to the public. As part of the annual Fašank festival in the village of Strání, visitors will have the unique opportunity to experience traditional glassmaking firsthand during the Open House Day on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Guests can look forward to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, featuring live demonstrations of traditional glassblowing techniques, and even try their hand at blowing their own glass product.
“Every year, our Open House Day attracts both locals and visitors from across the region. It has become an integral part of the Fašank celebrations in Strání, and we are excited to once again share the art of glassmaking with the public. The glassworks will open at 8:00 AM and remain open until 1:00 PM. We warmly invite everyone to join us for this unique experience,” said Jaroslav Skoumal, Managing Director of KVĚTNÁ 1794.
Exclusive Experiences and Special Activities for Visitors
The event will offer visitors an up-close look at the intricate craftsmanship behind KVĚTNÁ 1794’s renowned glass products. Experienced glassmakers will guide guests through the glassblowing process, answer questions, and demonstrate the time-honored skills that have been passed down through generations.
In addition to factory tours, guests will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive glassware from the KVĚTNÁ 1794 collection. Special activities will also be available for families, including glass painting workshops, a bouncy castle, interactive puzzles, and other engaging attractions for both children and adults. A selection of food and drink stalls will be on-site to enhance the festive atmosphere.
