Euporia – whisky set, which continues the centuries-old history of glassmaking
The Euporie collection impresses at first sight with its structure, which combines the incredible fragility and durability of glass. Behind the spider web pattern, typical of the entire collection, is a demanding production process, exceeding the usual standards for handmade glass (already very high).
First, the master glassmaker blows the hot enamel in a beech mould, which must be cooled by around 700 °C before final shaping. The product is then sealed in the furnace before the master glassmaker can finally ‘blow’ it. But this is not the end of the process. After the product has cooled down again (for several hours), when the tension is removed, it is time for careful grinding. After this procedure, during which both the glass and the bottle take their final form, the master grinder creates the cork. Due to the nature of the handmade nature of bottle making, each stopper is unique and only fully fits the bottle for which it was cut. The entire production process, which takes dozens of hours, follows a centuries-old tradition of hot glass decoration.
The hand-blown Euporie 1000 ml bottle will delight any whisky lover and impress any visitor.
